Math and English Education

Math and English classes are offered 3 days a week for students aged 10-12, beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting until 4:30 p.m.. Each subject is given 45 minutes.

In the English portion of the class, students are educated on composition, grammar, parts of speech, spelling, and reading comprehension. They practice reading stories and answering questions, and develop their vocabulary while learning new antonyms and synonyms for words. The topics for Mathematics include geometry, fractions, ratios, percentages, decimals, operations and bodmas. If there is extra time, the students play games.

At the end of the term, pupils are tested to see if their objectives were achieved. This class helps prepare students for the Grade Six Assessment, or just enhance their knowledge in these areas.
