Computer Education

Computer Education

Save Abee Foundation provides free computer classes to the community at large. We want to expose the children of Guyana to the world of technology, as well as educate adults. Each session has 15 students. The school is open from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, and for research hours on Saturday from 9:30 am to 12 pm. There are two sets of classes, Introductory and Advanced.

In the Introductory course, the students will focus on typing accuracy and speed, the main uses of a computer, and learning Microsoft Office basics. The Advanced course will further the students’ education in Microsoft Office. After completion, the students should have mastery of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Publisher. Also, they will have been educated on how to properly use the internet and Email.
